The album Pure Country is the soundtrack to the movie of the Pure Country, and all are songs are sung by George Strait. It was released in 1992 by MCA Records.[1] It is George Strait's most successful studio album, having sold over six million copies.[2]

Music videos were made for "I Cross My Heart" and "Heartland."[3] Both of these songs were Number One hits for George on the Billboard country charts; "When Did You Stop Loving Me" (which was later covered by George Jones on his 1998 album It Don't Get Any Better Than This) was a #6 hit. "Overnight Male" also charted at #72 from unsolicited airplay.
