[edit] Helpme

Can I copy straight for a wikireader?

what do you mean exactly? Do you have the right to reproduce something from Wikipedia? Yes as long as you follow the licence. See Wikipedia:Copyrights for more details. (I leave the helpme, I'm not sure that was what you meant) -- lucasbfr talk 07:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Not sure I understand the question either, I've removed the helpme for now please make you question clearer and add the helpme again. --pgk 10:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: WikiRace Offer

Thank you, but I am currently busy cleaning some external links. Thanks for the invitation, anyways! -- ReyBrujo 04:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Medatation Request Filed

I'm not interested in any attempt at mediation. I had no idea you were in any dispute with me whatsoever anyway. If this is the thanks I get after all the help I've offered you over the many months you've been here, then I'm gobsmacked and I must tell you to leave me alone and not to bother me further. If you wish to take any matter I'm involved in to arbitration, I can't stop you, but I think you're wasting your time. -- Longhair\talk 06:16, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Arbitration now? As you please... like I said I can't stop you. Don't bother me further thanks. It's the second time I've asked you to leave me alone now. You might want to take a read over Don't disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. In my opinion, your edits of late are bordering on disruption indeed. -- Longhair\talk 06:29, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I note you've banned me from your userpage. That suits me fine, but please remove the personal attack from your talk page where it names myself as a banned user from your talk page. Wikipedia is a wiki and anyone is welcome to edit any page they like unless banned by the arbitration committee. I don't even know why you've got an issue with me in the first place, and rubbishing my good name at your talk page is not going to help any problem you may have if I cannot communicate with you. -- Longhair\talk 06:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Esperanza?

An anon just added your name to the member's list for esperanza. [1] Was this you? I will assume it was for now and give you this...

Welcome, Nathannoblet, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

[edit] shake hands and move on

Nathan, I suggest that you please identify specifically what your issues with particular other users are, and what outcome you are looking for. I doubt that mediation or arbitration are required, and if they are, there is a significant risk that the sanction will be against you, not us. We may all be able to negotiate an outcome that everybody can live with, without resorting to arbitration, formal mediation or informal mediation. Most people can be reasonable if they know what the issues are. Have a look at WP:POINT and Wikipedia:Resolving disputes. The first step is Talk to the other parties involved. --Scott Davis Talk 07:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Thankyou for withdrawing the mediation and arbitration cases you initiated against Longhair and me. You are welcome to either post on my talk page or email me about anything you wish to discuss if I inadvertently upset you. Be aware that I may choose not to email you back, but I will be discreet and circumspect in any on-wiki answers to email. Otherwise, good luck in creating your first featured article. I'm happy to proofread anything. --Scott Davis Talk 15:03, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Terminology

Please refrain from the word BAN or such variations. It could lead to confusion with Wikipedia:Banning policy, which is only used when a community concensus is reached, or by the ArbCom. Having that term is misleading, and makes the reader believe that Longhair is officially banned from this page. Also note that Longhair can still edit your page, per WP:TPG, and no sanctions can be imposed by him doing so. Please remove the term within 24 hours or it will be removed for you. [edit] Hangman game

It seems like you haven't put enough effort into looking at what the specific rules are. I have removed you from the mod scoreboard, the "answer" field is blank and you should put licensing info on the photo as soon as possible (today). If the license is going to give up the answer, post a message indicating that the source is available by contacting you privately. Thanks. fetofs Hello! 19:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hangman

I can't mod the game this time around very busy in real life only on the Wiki from here and there. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 02:11, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AMA

Hello - I've noticed that you;ve taken on a couple of AMA cases. If you would like to be an advocate, could I ask you to list yourself on Wikipedia:AMA Members? Before starting advocacy, I;d like to ensure that you understand the stages of dispute resolution WP:DR, and would like to strongly remind you that arbitration is always the last step - to be avoided at all costs - most disputes can be resolved with calm conversation between parties, backed up by policy. If you have any problems, or would like help, please feel free to get in contact with me. Before I go, I'd like ot inform you that a fellow advocate has removed you from the cases you took, as you are not a member. Please feel free to take any new cases if you decide to list yourself as a member. Thanks Martinp23 23:37, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes and as Deputy Coordinator I will ask you not to take a case until you have 1. Read through the DR process, 2. listed your self as an advocate, and 3. have more experence on Wikipedia. Your current cases have been reassigned to other advocates. Æon Insanity Now!EA! 23:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I am also a deputy coordinator and would like to echo the comments above. You cannot take advocate cases unless you are an actual advocate. I appreciate very much your wish to help out here at the AMA and hope to welcome you as a member soon. Wikiwoohoo 20:05, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: WikiRace offer

No thank you, I was just about to sign off for a bit. But I can suggest a difficult race for you: from Olivier Messiaen --> Mark Robinson (cricketer) --> Méric Casaubon --> Clameur de haro, no categories or year- or date-links allowed. Sorry I can't join in! Best wishes, RobertGtalk 08:36, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AMA

Nathan, please discuss AMA with User:Martinp23 or User:Aeon1006 before assigning yourself cases. I think your requests for arbitration, mediation and medcabal against various in-good-standing and respected editors show you don't have a good understanding of dispute resolution. You can make things really bad by advising people to request arbitration off the bad. So please don't take cases until you've discussed it with Martin or Aeon. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 09:10, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your image

Nathan, did you want this Image:Departure Lounge GCA.jpg to be deleted? Please let me know if you do and I will delete it for you. In future, please use {{db-author}}. Thanks, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 09:17, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Deleted at your request. -- Longhair\talk 10:15, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RalphLender

Nathan, I wanted to touch base with you about Ralph Lender. Since it was opened again, I've taken on the advocacy, but I wanted to make sure that I haven't offended you. IMHO, it's great that you want to advocate for people, but I think you would benefit from a few months' more editing and watching how some of the debates play out. (Watching several requests for arbitration evolve from filing through decision is a good way -- you can see how the arb comm reviews people's contributions and what the members expect editors to do in terms of dispute resolution before they get there). If you're interested in watching the RalphLender advocacy, please feel free to keep an eye on User:TheronJ/Advocacy/RalphLender over the next week or two -- I'd be happy to discuss my philosophy towards advocacy if you have any questions. (Not that I'm a great expert or anything, I'm just always happy to talk). Thanks! TheronJ 15:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
