[edit] Packaging

Punch Sport Drink is packaged in a cardboard rectangular prism with dimensions of 3" x 4.5" x 7". There is a plastic spout located on the top of the package which facilitates ease of pouring and resealability. This packaging system is known as Combibloc.[2] The spout on top is a feature with the trade name Pour 'n Seal. According to the carton, this packaging system results in:

  • Better taste: aseptic processing retains juices' natural flavors and colors without preservatives.
  • Eliminates can openers or additional storage containers.
  • Easy to crush: for cost effective disposal.
  • Reduces solid waste: uses 64% less packaging material than 46 oz. steel cans.
