[edit] Dab or redirect

This page may take the form:

  1. Redirect to Pulp magazine
  2. Redirect to Pulp Fiction (film)
  3. Disambiguation page between the two
  4. Redirect to Pulp fiction (which then becomes a disambig page for the two articles)

Since this is the capitalised version (cf. pulp fiction, which redirects to Pulp magazine) I think it is reasonable to assume that people will be looking for the film - such capitalisation is not used in reference to the magazine's usage. The incoming links also greatly favour a redirect to the film (with nearly all of the 400 articles that link here being related to the film), though obviously those articles should be fixed to point to Pulp Fiction (film).

I would say that #2 is the most logical form but #3 is a good compromise. However, I would opt for #4 because of the laziness of net users (using no capitals), the significance of the film, and to improve consistency between the two capitalisation variants. violet/riga (t) 18:14, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I prefer the option not listed; move Pulp Fiction (film) to Pulp Fiction and have a small notice at the top for people looking for Pulp magazine. After that, I prefer 2, then 3, in that order. I'm really confused about why the film was ever moved from here in the first place. —Locke Coletc 05:40, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Indeed that would be an option. I omitted it because the recent discussion at Talk:Pulp Fiction (film) seems to have ruled it out. violet/riga (t) 07:41, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
This is a wiki, nothing is ever permanently ruled out. :P Besides, some of those arguments weren't even valid (seems people are ignoring WP:NC). If the requested move hadn't just been closed a week or so ago I'd do another... —Locke Coletc 08:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Redirect to pulp magazine". The film is not the primary usage, unless you ignore WP:RECENTISM. "Pulp fiction" is synonymous with pulp magazine and it should go there. Any other meaning should be disambiguated. Reginmund 17:07, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
