Pullin' Me Back is the first single from Chingy's third album Hoodstar (2006). The song features Tyrese with production by Jermaine Dupri. The background beat is sampled off Jaco Pastorius's "Portrait of Tracy", which was also sampled in SWV's hit single Rain. The sample is actually played on a synthesiser, not a bass guitar. The video was retired on 106 & Park after being on the countdown for 65 days. The song peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his fourth top ten single. It peaked at #1 on the R&B chart, where it was his first #1 single. It was #3 on BET's Top 100 Songs of 2006.
