Pukeiti
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pukeiti is a small settlement in Taranaki, in the western North Island of New Zealand. It is located in a gap between two sections of the Egmont National Park, to the northwest of the main cone of Mount Taranaki, on a saddle between it and the small Mount Kaitake which stretches towards Oakura. The settlement is named for Mount Pukeiti (literally "little hill"), which is itself the remnant of a volcanic peak.
Pukeiti is the home of one of the country's top rhododendron gardens, run by the Pukeiti Rhododendron Trust.
