Most of the inhabitants of this commune practice agriculture in small family farms. There is a church, a police station, a small hospital, a primary school and just a few places to go out like bars and pubs. Puiesti community is very friendly, open and talkative. The majority of the population does agriculture because there is no investments from the council or private companies in any other domains.
