[edit] Renaming to Interstate PRI-1
I know I'm just stirring up trouble here, but hear me out. In the article it says, "The combined route of PR-18 and PR-52 is coterminous with the unsigned Interstate Highway PRI-1". All the PRI-1 links are redirected here, to PR-52, which only forms segment of PRI-1... not the whole route. Yes, I know the interstate is unsigned and is probably never referred to except when dishing out government money, but as I see it we can fix this in two ways. The first, which probably nobody will like, will create a PRI-1 article describing each of the the PR-52 and PR-18 routes under a section. The second option, which is really simple, is to briefly describe PRI-1 (and the other two PR Interstates) at Interstate Highways in Puerto Rico article, making links to PR-52, PR-18, and whatever routes form part of the Interstate. I know this is just the first PR route article created, but this is just something to think about. --TinMan 19:09, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- No problem caused; if you think there should be a move, feel free to take it to WP:RM. Looks uncontroversial to me. -Patstuarttalk|edits 20:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Interstate PR-1 was formerly the main highway connecting San Juan and Ponce. Nowadays it is used as an alternate route of PR-52/18 and for local traffic. I do not know if any section of PRI-1 is even controlled-access, the Autopistas are all controlled-access. Interstate highways in Puerto Rico and Alaska are not required to meet interstate standards. In sections that are coterminous with an Autopista, the Autopistas are far more used for traveling larger distances. Andros 1337 18:38, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pink?
Why are multiples of five in pink? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.96.234.196 (talk) 02:58, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Probably refers to the mainland interstate highway system, where the major cross country routes are multiples of five (I-5 and I-95 on opposite coasts, I-10 across the south and I-80 in the north). MMetro 04:34, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
