Talk:Puerto Rico Highway 22
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Need to specify "United States"?
Could we get the opinion of other editors regarding the need to include "United States" after "Puerto Rico" in the introduction of this article. A concern is that its inclusion makes the introductory statement weaker as it appears to detract from the subject of the article, namely highway PR-22. (If I had no knowledge about some road and was searching the Wikipedia for information about it, I'd just like to read "PR-22 is a toll road in the north coast of Puerto Rico," period.)
In addition to appear distracting, the inclusion of "United States" may also appear to be making a political statement, namely that Puerto Rico is part of the United States (something that would belong in another article).
In any event, the preference would be to leave out "United States" since if the reader wanted to know more about Puerto Rico there is already a link via the "[ [ Puerto Rico ] ]" format.
Hopefully the original contributing editor and/or other editors can share their view on the matter and come to some agreement that will make the article palatable to most. CallmeDrNo (talk) 01:13, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
