It is suggested that the originator of the article place a footnote in regard to Puerto Rico's relationship with the United States.

Make a new section at the end of the article and talk about how it became Puerto Rico's national bird: Why was a bird that only became a species in 1997 chosen over, say, the Puerto Rican Parrot? Did it play a role in the lives of the natives? Also, is there anything about its conservation you could add? b (focused):
