Puerto Rico Department of Education

Puerto Rico Department of Education[1] (Spanish: Departamento de Educación del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico, literally "Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico") is the department of Puerto Rico's government which manages state-operated schools in the United States commonwealth. The department is the equivalent of a state department of education and a school district.
The district was formerly known the Departamento de Instrucción Pública del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico.

The department requires all students to wear school uniforms and only allows for medical exemptions. [2]
