Puerto Rico Air National Guard

The Puerto Rico Air National Guard is the component of the United States Air National Guard operating within Puerto Rico. It was federally recognized on November 23, 1947.[1] The first commander of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard (from 1947 to 1975) was Brigadier General Mihiel Gilormini. Brigadier General Jose M. Portela has served as commander of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard since January 11, 2005.[2]
