Puerto Peñasco International Airport (IATA: PPE, ICAO: MMPE) is an international airport located at Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, a city near the U.S.-Mexico border, on the Gulf of California coast. It is also a port of entry into Mexico. Most of the operations are general aviation, and currently the airport is served by two commercial airlines. Aeroméxico Connect announced his interest to start flights to Puerto Peñasco between August and September of 2007 with Saab 340 or Embraer ERJ 145.
