Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum is a combination of the Weisbrod Museum and the International B-24 Memorial Museum, designed to honor the men and women who served during World War II with emphasis on the Pueblo Army Air Base and the B-24 Liberator bomber. The museum is located six miles east of Pueblo, Colorado on US Highway 50 at the Pueblo Memorial Airport, occupying space on what was the Pueblo Army Air Base during World War II. It is managed and maintained by the Pueblo Historical Aircraft Society.
The aircraft currently on display are on loan from the various military services, with the exception of the McDonnell Douglas F-101 Voodoo, recorded as having a civilian owner. The museum also hosts periodic open cockpit days featuring a select aircraft. Also, there is a research library, including a video tape collection. The museum relies on many men and women volunteers who assist its visitors with admissions, store purchases, tours, and aircraft restorations.
