I have visited Pudu Prison twice in 1986 to see my friend, Kevin Barlow, I cannot begin to describe and sheer horror of the place, the atmosphere on entering those gates, seeing women cry when they saw their menfolk behind bars trying to shout to them, it waw a helpless situation. The prison staff I must admit were very kind to me and as a foreigner did everything they could to make my visits comfortable.
I wouldnt wish Pudu prison on any human being, and the memory and horror of the place will stay with me for the rest of my life.
