Hi there! The page of IETT at http://www.iett.gov.tr/en/section.php?sid=46 says the construction begun on 30th July, while this article puts it to 30th June.

Are there any "3rd" source where the date could be checked?

[edit] new funicular

The article says there's a new funicular from Taksim to Kabataş; What is Kabataş? Does the article actually mean Beşiktaş, perhaps? Nyh 10:12, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, it's not Beşiktaş. Kabataş ( 41°2′2.21″N, 28°59′34.08″E) is somewhere between Karaköy and Dolmabahçe on the European side of the Bosporus, if you happen to know these. You can see the offical page of the new funicular line here: [1] (it's in Turkish). It's a coincidence that the Ordu province has a district with the same name. I don't speak or read Turkish, so I've edited what appeared to be problems with the English grammar, but left the Turkish names and spellings alone. I also added links to where there are, or should be, articles about stations or neighborhoods in Istanbul. Also, where there were ambiguous links (like Taksim, which I made into a direct link to Taksim Square) or redirects, I've tried to fix the problem. 66.234.222.96 (talk) 18:38, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
