Angola is notable as it has 15 public holidays over the year. These are:
- January 1 - New Year's Day
- January 4 - Day of the Fallen against the colonial repression
- January 25 - Luanda's Day
- February 4 - Day of the Armed Struggle
- March 8 - International Women's Day
- April 4 - Peace Day, or Ceasefire Day, end of the Civil War
- May 1 - Labour Day
- May 25 - Africa's Day
- June 1 - International Children's Day
- September 17 - Agostinho Neto's Day and National Heroes Day
- November 2 - All Souls Day
- December 25 - Christmas
- December 31 - New Year's Eve
