Public Communications Inc. (PCI) is a Chicago, Illinois-based public relations agency specializing in healthcare, conservation/environment, education and culture/entertainment/sports markets. PCI is a founding partner of Worldcom Public Relations Group.

Founded in 1963, PCI is consistently ranked by fee income among the largest independent (non-advertising agency owned) firms in the United States[1], with more than $4 million in fees billed annually. The agency is also among the 10 largest certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) public relations agencies in the United States.

Healthcare clients represent about 65% of PCI’s business. Among them are device and pharmaceutical companies such as Zimmer Orthopaedics, Baxter Healthcare and AstraZeneca; more than a dozen medical and professional association clients include the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Radiological Society of North America, American Academy of Dermatology, the The Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Headache Society; medical schools, hospitals and healthcare systems including the University of North Carolina Health Care system; advocacy organizations including the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and the National Lung Cancer Partnership; and consultants and service providers to the industry.

Conservation clients of PCI include the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Care of Trees, John G. Shedd Aquarium, The National Elephant Center, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago Zoological Society, Brookfield Zoo, and Chicago Wilderness.

Education clients include National-Louis University, Erikson Institute, IES Abroad, British School of Chicago, Guerin Prep and Brother Rice High School (Chicago, Illinois).

PCI has worked with many cultural institutions, entertainment and sports clients including the Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago), the Iowa Transportation Museum, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Newberry Library, KeyLime Cove Water Resort, Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, Ill.), Major League Baseball, the John Hancock All-Star FanFest, and the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Rush.
