Psychédélices is the title of the third studio album of French singer Alizée.[1] The album was released to stores on December 3, 2007 with its digital release one week earlier, on the 26th of November, 2007. Digital Vendors include Fnac, Virgin Music France, iTunes and others.[2] The first single, "Mademoiselle Juliette", debuted on radio stations in the last week of September. The video for "Mademoiselle Juliette" has been released online at MSN France on November 16, 2007.[3] [4] Alizée collaborated with Bertrand Burgalat, Daniel Darc, Oxmo Puccino, Jérémy Châtelain, Michel-Yves Kochmann, and Jean Fauque on this album.[1]
[edit] Charts and Sales
The album has had moderate success in France, where it has reached number seven on the download chart and sixteen on the main chart. However the album only held its peak position for one week on each chart and has been falling since..[5][6] The album became more of a success in México, where stores put the album on sale three days before the actual release to avoid piracy, and with only three-day sales the album debuted at number forty-four in the Mexican Top 100 Albums Chart and number fourteen on the International Chart. The album peaked at number twenty-one in the main chart and number three in the international chart in early December. After falling down the Mexican charts, the album has risen back up and has hit new peaks, reaching number fifteen on the Top 100 and number two on the International albums chart, which it held for three straight weeks before reaching number one.[7][8] In late January 2008, Mexican radio stations started to promote the second radio-single of the album, "Lilly Town". The album has sold 200,000 copies so far.
