[edit] The Royal Soldiers
why did u delete my article? u deleted my article before i even had time to look up the talk page of Royal Soldiers. i had to get off my computer to go eat. i think u should lookover this wikipedia article. my article falls under the complete guidelines of wikipedia. i put all of my resources and theyre all reliable and it also has good notability enough to become part of wikipedia. Wikipedia:Dispute resolution--Mark0528 (talk) 19:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- I cannot delete articles; I put a tag on your article requesting that it should be deleted. It was then deleted by an administrator for the same reason that it was deleted four times previously: it did not indicate its importance or significance. Simply being listed on a website is considered trivial coverage does not indicate significance. The group's own website cannot be used as a source because it is not independent of the subject. --PseudoChron (talk) 20:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
so basically ur saying that we need to get some coverage by someone independent of us? like for example a review on an official gaming website like Gamespy?--Mark0528 (talk) 21:39, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, an article in a recognized gaming site or magazine would help make a group notable.--PseudoChron (talk) 21:47, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
help? that alone wouldnt be sufficient?--Mark0528 (talk) 17:11, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well it's hard to say when this is all hypothetical. --PseudoChron (talk) 18:15, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Deletion Tag
why are you Tagging for Speedy Deletion for a Wiki article of a Indidual thinks is Bad? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooldude13233 (talk • contribs) 05:12, 4 February 2008
- I tagged Chris Potter (meteorologist) for speedy deletion because it doesn't seem like he is significant enough to meet Wikipedia's guidelines. Chris Potter and several of the people listed on CityNews#Anchors and reporters don't seem to meet Wikipedia:BIO and Wikipedia:Notability, perhaps you should read those pages and address the notability issues to prevent your articles going to AfD. For a topic to be notable, it must have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, so you should try to find sources other than CityNews's own website. --PseudoChron (talk) 17:54, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] {{censor}} on Talk:2 Girls 1 Cup
The {{censor}} tag states: "Articles may contain content that some readers consider objectionable or offensive. Images or details contained within this article, in particular, may be graphic or otherwise objectionable in order to ensure complete coverage of its subject matter." I believe that this information about Wikipedia policy is extremely relevant and vital to the discussion of the 2 Girls 1 Cup article. There is discussion on its talk page about whether an external link to the video's website should be in the article and whether an image of the video should be in the article. The {{censor}} template reminds editors that their reasons for excluding or including that content should have nothing to do with how objectionable or offensive they find the video being covered. I do not understand your reasons for removing the template from the talk page. I do not think that reminding users of policy can be "prejudicial to discussion". It's not about if an "entity" or "central body" is trying to censor the page, it's used for articles prone to editors censoring objectionable content, which is what is occurring in the article. --PseudoChron (talk) 05:19, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- That is exactly why the tag should not be there. It comes across as though you are trying to use the tag to sway people towards your viewpoint that a link and/or picture should be included. If that is not your intent, then there is no reason for the tag. Johntex\talk 05:25, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

- It is a matter of interpreting the policy. People may have reasons for not wanting a given link, or a given photo, or a certain paragraph of information for that matter. There are many reasons people may want to trim something out (length, accuracy, relevance, shock-value, spam-oriented nature), etc. Too often people cry "censorship" whenever someone wants to remove content from an article. Placing such a tag on the article is like trying to institutionalize the idea that this is censorship. It is not censorship. It is editors deciding how best the article should be constructed. We should encourage that dialog instead of trying to slap on official-sounding templates. Johntex\talk 13:02, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Atomic-bitchwax-2006-11-26.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Atomic-bitchwax-2006-11-26.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Polly (Parrot) 00:27, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Yamaha Pro Audio
I have removed your speedy-delete request for this article. While the article clwearly needs work, it is not even close to meeting the criteria for speedy deletion. Take this to AfD is you feel it necessary. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
