Pseudomonas papaveris is a Gram-negative bacterium that was first isolated on Shirley poppies (Papaver rhoeas)[citation needed], from which it derives its name. The type strain is ATCC 13041. P. papaveris may be the same organism as Pseudomonas cichorii[citation needed].
