Pseudo Hippies

The Pseudo Hippies were a British pop punk band which formed in 1991. Kris Beltrami-Vocals/guitar.Tom Worden-Guitar/BV.Danny Morrison-Drums,Adam French-Bass.The group released a 4 song 7" and a split 7" with the Dipsomaniacs on Germany's Nasty Vinyl.Comedian Vic Reeves was also in the audience at their first ever concert. Their 7" record also attests to Green Day's popularity prior to Dookie, as a member of the band is photographed wearing a Green Day t-shirt and the record was released in 1993. Shortly after the split 7", they changed their name to Wact.Wact released a split 7" with emo rockers Couch Potatoes and then split in Oct 1995. The lead vocalist/guitarist Kris Beltrami went on to form Warner Bros artists Dweeb. Releasing numerous singles and EPs ( with Mogwai amongst others )an Album Turn You On produced by Def Leppard producer Pete Woodroffe and performed with legends such as Adam Ant and Descendents vocalist Milo Auckerman.
