Description
English: Photograph of a bronze bust found in the garden at Herculaneum, on the south side, in 1754. Originally and mistakenly called 'Seneca', it was renamed to 'Pseudo-Seneca' once the mistake was discovered.

Fig. 39, labeled '"Pseudo-Seneca" (? Philetas of Cos)' and with the attribution 'G. Brogi', located between pages 138 and 139 of Ethel Ross Barker, Buried Herculaneum, London: Adam and Charles Black (1908). This image was cropped from the Google Books transcription, and converted to JPEG format using the Gimp.

The ancient sculptor is unknown. The photographer was Giacomo Brogi (1822–1881).
