[edit] Composition
The lyrics contain two main sets which are repeated numerous times. They are: "P-r-i-v-a-c-y is priceless to me" and "P-r-i-v-a-c-y!"
[edit] Reception
Al Weisel of Rolling Stone called the song a "one-minute doodle that consists of Vedder spelling out the word privacy over and over until we get the point already."[1]
It has been claimed that the song contains a hidden message when played backwards that sounds like "Oh, Pete Townshend, how you saved my life!". However, this was unintentional.[2] An audio sample can be heard here.
[edit] Lyrical meaning
The lyrics can be taken to go with the intentional retreat from superstardom and massive popularity that Pearl Jam and Vedder were to take after the release of this album.
