Prva HNL 1992

The Prva HNL's 1992 season was the first season of the top Croatian football league. It was the initial season, after Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia. Affected by the ongoing war in Croatia, the season was held over the course of only one calendar year, from 29 February to 13 June 1992.

Top goalscorer of the season was Ardian Kozniku of Hajduk Split with 12 goals.
At the end of the season no teams were relegated, and it was decided that the league would expand to 16 clubs in the 1992-93 Prva HNL edition.
Zadar, Šibenik and GOŠK Dubrovnik had to play most of their home games in other towns because of heavy bombardment Dalmatian cities were exposed to.
Nenad Bjelica of Osijek scored the Prva HNL's first ever hat-trick against Šibenik in Round 13.
