Prudencia Ayala

Prudencia Ayala (born April 28, 1885; died in San Salvador on July 11, 1936) was an El Salvadoran suffragist and author. In 1930 she acted as a Presidential candidate despite women not having the vote. She took a generally feminist and anti-imperialist outlook in her writings. A feminist organization in El Salvador is named for her.[1]
