[edit] Invitation to join WikiProject Plants
[edit] Identity?
Greetings! Are you the same editor as OMGrace (talk)? I'm glad to see these articles being recreated without any copyright violation, but be careful of formatting. See the cleanups I did on the articles you've already created. Some of the taxoboxes contained incorrect information (I suppose they were copy and pastes from other articles you had been creating). Thanks! --Rkitko (talk) 18:31, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Also, per WP:EL, the general link to PROTAbase is unnecessary, so I've been removing it from your edits. The link directly to a PROTAbase article on the species is fully appropriate, but the general link isn't, except on the article that describes PROTA. Cheers, --Rkitko (talk) 19:05, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] COI
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Broccoli, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.
For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. I'm placing this template on your user page because of your username and the external links you've been adding, so the COI tag might not be warranted. Though they are definitely useful, the PROTA links may be better as references or in-line citations rather than external links; also note that there is a policy on external links which I recommend you read. That being said, my quick read of the link gives me the feeling that they are valuable, but again as citations rather than EL. Thanks! WLU 18:13, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
