Thank you, Prodego
For protecting the FR article. I believe the protection should be extended to indefinite, until Eschoir answers the inquiry by Newyorkbrad at WP:RFAR#Free_Republic about his "troubling edit pattern." Any edits would require a showing of consensus. When RFAR is concluded, the page could then be unprotected. Samurai Commuter (talk) 17:47, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Re:Lying from You
Hi Prodego, sorry for interfering, I intended to assist in the C&P repair. When I looked at the HD, the destination page was a red link, so I moved the it, thought you were away for some reason (definitely should have checked the time code). Just wondering, what did I do wrong in the process? Specifically, why was it necessary to keep some revisions deleted? Regards, - PeaceNT (talk) 19:47, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for the useful tip on GFDL. I'll take care not to mess up again in the future. Regards,- PeaceNT (talk) 06:53, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Yay for you!

East718's user page
East718 was using some strange hack to transclude a protected page and make anybody's browser who edited it turn right-to-left. I had some dialogue with him, and then moved the page. I figured he would either move it back (and I'd let it rest) or see sense (imho) and leave it there.
Unfortunately, 1) I accidentally moved the talk page too. 2) Other editors decided to intervene.
Regretably, I think he may no longer have a user page at all as it would seem you have just deleted it :/
As you can see, there's been a mix up here; there was no vandalism, merely a trout slapping from admin to admin. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to restore this user's page and put things back as they should be :) Sorry for any trouble. --kingboyk (talk) 01:18, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I realized that and restored it a second ago. This is quite a mess, I am looking into how to fix the history. Prodego talk 01:20, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for trying to fix my userspace, but I don't really care about the history. The only one that matters is the one at my talk page, and that's in right place - for now at least

David Gest article
Thanks for the helpful hint about edit summaries. I'll use them in the future. I'm struggling with some anonymous funny business in this article, and the problem has gotten too big to summarize. I have enlisted the help of some senior wiki editors to help me sort it out. Most of this article violates NPOV and is unsourced. I added balanced information and footnote citations, and the vandals deleted it. Help is on the way, I am told. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Swilli88 (talk • contribs) 23:44, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Re: Huggle
Indeed. Though, I've got another one for you. If the password is mistyped, and the CAPTCHA displayed, huggle can't log in. Not much can be done about it though. Also, I still don't seem to be able to block. But the sheer speed and easy interface makes this a really amazing tool Gurch, really great work. Prodego talk 22:49, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't log in using the login form, but rather through the API. If you submit an incorrect login to the API, it doesn't display a CAPTCHA, it simply returns an error code and then locks you out for a few minutes. This is to prevent automated password guessing. Just wait a few minutes and then try again, and it should work – Gurch 06:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Booker T. Washington Edit
I apologize for the revision I made, if it was considered nonconstructive. What I see on the Booker T. Washington page is this {{
DAAA BEARS-record(19-0)
I don't understand how reverting to the last non-vandalized page fixing this is destructive, but please correct me. A lot of information was missing because of this, so I reverted it. --UnoriginalMind (talk) 02:25, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Re: Booker T. Edit
All is forgiven. I was so confused, I thought you wanted to put that weird message back on. Well, at least it's back to normal. Thanks for apologizing. --UnoriginalMind (talk) 02:34, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism warning templates
Hi, sorry to bother you, but could you please direct me to the page where you found the template/warning message that is posted on this talkpage? I'd like to use it as well, since it's more informative than the TW warnings. GlobeGores (talk | contribs) 02:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Notice
Hi I just thought I would let you know that I believe that you just accidentally reverted my revert. Its no problem just thought I'd let you know Alexfusco5 02:46, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Right you are. Huggle must have updated right as I pressed the button or something, since I distinctly remember seeing the addition of the 10 min thing. Prodego talk 02:51, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
New Semester, New Appeal
This semester I am teaching academic writing to a group of teachers at my school. This course starts on Monday Jan 28. I would like to know if you are still interesting in "mentoring". You can see the syllabus at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/SyllabusIf so, please leave a message on my talk page and update the mentor's page Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors, if . If not, please remove your name and information from that page. Thanks! Thelmadatter (talk) 00:25, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
TOR block of 203.185.35.112
Hey, I noticed that you've blocked 203.185.35.112, as a TOR node, which, it is no longer. I was wondering, if you'd consider either allowing me to unblock it, or, unblocking it yourself please. SQLQuery me! 20:36, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've unblocked the IP. Note that you should feel free unblocking any IP where the status has changed, but in this case it is good you asked, since I didn't make the block as a TOR block, meaning that it might just have been an open proxy (which it was not, I checked). Someone else added the TOR tag. Prodego talk 20:57, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks! :) Only a couple thousand to go SQLQuery me! 20:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
User Pages
Hello. I protected the User Page and User Talk page per the banning policy which addresses user pages, and user talk pages. I have also used in interpretation that WP:BAN and WP:UP both include the talk page for banned users. Please consider reinstating the protection. I would have preferred you to leave a note on my talk page before reverting the protection I placed, but I do understand we forget sometimes. :) Regards, Mercury (talk) 01:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Question
I have read and re-read the talk page conversation in question and do not see where I was uncivil. East718 suggested that I speak to you directly for some clarity. I carried on a very "conversational" conversation with an editor and ended most my posts with "Have a nice day", which is how I end many talk page posts. The other "conversationalist" was very uncivil in most of his replies and actually posted the comment "Calling a counter-vandalism tool "anti-IP biased" is like calling rat poison "anti-rat biased" " which is an unpleasant attitude to have on Wikipedia. But I do not see where you issued any sort of block threat to the other editor? I have discussed this with a few other admin acquaintances and asked for a personal review of my conduct but no one has seen the discussion any different then how I saw it and some, like me, had concerns over the "all IPs are rats" comment. If you could point out where I was uncivil I would be most appreciative. Cheeky... yes... sarcastic... always... but never uncivil. Truth be told I did see one "uncivil" remark on the talk page where I referred to user Wikilibs as an a_hole. If that be the case then a misunderstanding has taken place. I can truthfully say that Wikilibs is an a_hole at times and some of his admin acquaintances like East718, Bubba Hotep, JoanneB, John, Cholmes75, Daniel, Wknight94, Rlevse, Wiki alf and the late KnowledgeofSelf might tend to agree with me... because he is me :D . I am very sorry if that remark caused any confusion. Have a nice day! 156.34.142.110 (talk) 14:01, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
