blocking

While I am not opposed to setting the block to 3 hours for 207.166.7.200 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log), I am opposed to your unblocking of 144.134.49.105 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log). This user clearly vandalized after a test4 warning. And with such edits as this, I see no further need of warnings before instating a block. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 21:21, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know (both ways). I did try and remove it from AIV with an edit summary pointing out the first T4, but someone else got there first with the generic 'blocked, empty' one. Petros471 07:58, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

It's okay...

...I'm often misunderstood. No worries. Happy editing!--Zpb52 21:23, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

If you respond to my message, I can set you up with a gmail account, and there is a built in client there. --Jay(Reply) 22:20, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Everything has been taken care of. Thanks for pointing it out. --Jay(Reply) 23:13, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Greetings old friend!

I hope all is well with you! As always, I've got you covered if you need anything. BD2412 T 05:17, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I occasionally archive my talk page by moving the whole page to the archive spot where most of the comments will end up... but you guessed right about the other pages. BD2412 T 23:56, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Don't want it gone, just out of the way. I do have a plan. ;-) BD2412 T 00:04, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Jabberwock names

Yeah, and that's not all: User:Thejabberwock, User:Jabberwocky, User:Jaberwocky6669, User:Mome-Rath, User:Jabberwockyoligarchy, and myself! TheJabberwʘck 02:39, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Personal information

Hey, I was wondering does the edit given on Image talk:01102006 BridgeOpening.jpg constitute deletion. It does give away a telephone number and address, so I think it needs to be deleted. The whole page looks like a transcript of an e-mail between the person and a wikipedia user. What do you think? DGX 21:52, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Ok, not a problem. Thanks! DGX 00:20, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:58, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I've probably misread something, but why have I been turned down for VandalProof? Thanks Gretnagod 02:13, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply - it all makes sense now. I'll re-apply as and when I have made enough article edits. All the best, Gretnagod 02:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
