Template talk:Protein structure determination

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We need to add Mass spec. Mass spec people claim they will be able to start solving atomic structures similar to NMR within the next 10 years. --vossman 17:31, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

It's totally true. I thought of MS the other day, and then forgot to add it. For now, maybe it's best categorized next to HDX? Willow 18:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Oops, no room. "Medium resolution" is a better category, anyway. Willow 18:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

I think this template is annoying and its insertion should be re-engineered. I think there is no relevance at all for this template to be present on all those page. Rather, it should appear only in articles which are also categorized in Biology and Protein Structure. Proteins are only a class of compounds that can be characterized by those techniques. Let's say wikipedian A is interested in Red Bean fatty acids and wikipedian B is interested in Light Emitting Polymers, would should we have "Red Bean" and "LEP" characterization templates in every single page? 132.216.96.223 08:52, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
