[edit] Wilderness area reference
I found http://www.nevadawilderness.org/legislat/nwpa1989.htm. Anyone know if this is a complete list of wilderness areas in Nevada? Vegaswikian 05:27, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- It is not complete. 10 more wilderness areas were created in the Black Rock Desert region in 2000. They're managed by BLM's Winnemucca office. I'm going to add the Calico Mountains Wilderness and High Rock Lake Wilderness links to the Protected Areas of Nevada template. But there are 8 more in the area for which there aren't even WP pages yet. BLM has a little info here. There's a complete map for northern Nevada at wilderness.net. We'll have to put those on the to-do list. Ikluft (talk) 10:01, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I've added those two. Here are the remaining 8 in the Black Rock Desert region that are missing WP pages.
- And BTW, there is no page (yet) for the Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area. (Yes, that really is its name.) Ikluft (talk) 10:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- I see that Vegaswikian added links to the missing pages here just as I did on the Black Rock Desert page. I added stubs for the 9 missing articles (8 wilderness and 1 NCA). Ikluft (talk) 13:15, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nice work finding remaining wilderness areas
Nice work Vegaswikian on collecting the remaining links for wilderness areas in Nevada. You thanked me on my talk page for a minor cleanup I did afterward. But you did by far more work collecting all of it. So here's some recognition for you too. Ikluft (talk) 06:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
