[edit] Why was this template changed?

I much preferred the format that linked the word "pronounced" and which did not contain a superscripted "[help]" link. I think the superscripted link is distracting; it is quite clear from context that "pronounced" is a link to the pronunciation guide. I would like to request an option that allows a link to the wiktionary entry for a word. For example:

A battleship, pronounced /ˈbætəlʃɪp/, is ...
