[edit] A suggestion

What if the background were gold? That seems more appropriate to me at least, since the canonical "Alaskan" colors are usually blue-and-gold, not blue-and-yellow, and a bit easier on the eyes at that.

(The HTML color name "gold" looks kind of orange, but there's always room for manual tweaking. Just tossing the idea out there, anyway.) Zero Gravitas (話す投稿) 05:33, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

You're right - it's "eight stars of gold", not yellow. The one comment I'd have there though is that most reproductions of the Flag of Alaska use #ffff00 - yellow - for the star colors, including Image:Flag of Alaska.svg. One thing to consider. Gold is what the colors are known for, but asthetically it seems to be yellow that's used more often. —akghetto talk 06:47, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Too big?

Yeah, me again. Lately I've started noticing how big and obtrusive the Alaska box is, compared to others with about the same amount of stuff in. What if it were a bit smaller, to eat up the blank space, like so:

Thoughts? —Zero Gravitas 17:42, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I think it looks better too. Good job! —akghetto talk 22:35, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
You guys have a very "loud" WikiProject banner. Perhaps you would be better off using the more neutral background color that most other WikiProjects use? Just a suggestion. --MatthewUND(talk) 07:53, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
