This is a documentation subpage for Template:Prod (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is used to tag articles for proposed deletion.

Usage

  • Place following code at the top of the page: {{subst:prod|reason}}
  • Replace reason with a brief reason that you've proposed deletion.
  • This template must be substituted (subst:), or else an error will appear.
  • In your edit summary, announce that you've proposed deletion.
  • When posted correctly, the following notice will be produced:

It is proposed that this article be deleted.

If you can address this concern by improving, copyediting, sourcing, renaming or merging the page, please edit this page and do so. You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to its deletion for any reason. To avoid confusion, it helps to explain why you object to the deletion, either in the edit summary or on the talk page. If this template is removed, it should not be replaced.
