Talk:Provisional Communist Party
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sorry. I had moved the sentence about the declaration of war to the page on Perente without indicating where it went. Are the LARGO stories relevant to the party, or only its leader? Whosasking 18:29, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. In that case, please feel free to re-remove it. Warofdreams talk 20:04, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV concerns
Much of the info on this organization and NATLFED seems to be based on a single highly polemical article from 1983. And some of the clearly POV language is completely unsourced: "functions to direct the strategy of the NATLFED entities through secret deliberations" who on earth says so? Who are they when they're at home.
The whole series of articles on this topic gives the impression of having been created by someone with an axe to grind. Much more sourcing, CONTEMPORARY sources for statements supposedly about the present day, and much more neutral language is needed. Dybryd 01:10, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- "functions to direct the strategy of the NATLFED entities through secret deliberations" -- removed. No such mention in press reports.
- "Who are they when they're at home"?
Critics contend that it has set various dates for an armed recolution in the United States, while others insist that such inflammatory discussion took place in the past but has lately been abandoned. Whatever its plans, the CPUSA/P has its members live communally, work continuously and give their money to the organization, prompting charges that they are "political Moonies." (Klehr, 1988)
- The claim by their detractors is that they don't go home. (2003 article in The Lamron) Whosasking 01:56, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly--But I was cadre to this Party from 1980 to 1984. I could give a broader/better perspective of what the claimed origin of this Party. For starters, you do not have the right name. This Party's official name is Communist Party, United States of America (Provisional Wing) or CPUSA (PW). The name was adopted following the criteria of the Third International (as was). 71.222.35.43 (talk) 00:43, 30 January 2008 (UTC) Bill Abendroth billaben@teleport.com
