Talk:Prophecies of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page merely repeats information present on other pages. This is going to make life difficult for editors who may now have to edit on multiple locations for exactly the same thing. Sufaid 09:58, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Its not repeating things. It is created so that we can have all the things which due to space constraint we can't put of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad page. For example this page consists of 3 statement about Mohammadi Begum while in the main bio page now there is only one. --Babbarshair 10:04, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- And as per discussion we don't need to complicate things there. --Babbarshair 10:06, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Babbarshair, I believe the Muhammadi Begum page has the three statements u mentioned so repetition is occurring. The utility of this page would be if the Muhammadi Begum page is deleted and the Criticism section on Mirza Ghulam Ahmad page is edited down. That would eleminate the need to edit on multiple locations. Not sure what you mean by "as per discussion we don't need to complicate things there" Sufaid 10:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- What should I say on this? Every page has its own significance. What if I ask you to delete and merge pages in Category:Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement and Category:Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Please have patience. --Babbarshair 10:24, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Rather than deleting we should concentrate on making Mohammadi Begum as the Featured Article. Check WP:FA for more info. --Babbarshair 10:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- It is obvious that Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are about two distinct groups which logically cannot be merged into a single page. This is clealry not the case with Muhammadi Begum. In any case I did not create the repetitive, multiple pages so having stated my opinion withdraw from this argument as no fruitful outcome is imminent. Sufaid 10:56, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Actually I was talking about the numerous articles present in those categories. For example we can't merge Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, Maulana Hakeem Nooruddin, Mirza Nasir Ahmad, and Mirza Tahir Ahmad. Every bio article is a complete entity in itself. --Babbarshair 11:02, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Exactly! Sufaid 06:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Repeated Information
The existence of this page even further justifies removal of the quotations from the Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. This is probably the best way to approach the problem with the quotations: remove them from Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and put them in here for detailed perusal by those interested. The page of Mohammadi Begum can probably also be dealt with in the same way. Nazli 13:50, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- Dear Nazli, I will writing something for you please read it and try to consider it. We need to find some middle grounds here. Thanks --Babbarshair 06:25, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ahmad.png
Image:Ahmad.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
