Can anyone verify that the PSI is managed by the NSC? I am looking all over the internet, and have not been ablw to confirm this.

• Legislation, pushed by prominent members of the House Democratic leadership, including Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Lantos and Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton, urges "with a particular emphasis" that the president work with the Security Council (where Russia and China, serial proliferators of weapons of mass destruction, have a veto) to "authorize the PSI under international law." [1]

This would make the PSI ineffective, which I suppose, is the purpose of the proposed legislation: to defang the PSI and promote nuclear proliferation. --Uncle Ed 18:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
