[edit] General discussion

I don't know who is at 24.18.129.104 (and it would be nice if you'd register, too), but the chart for the Season 1 section is a great addition. I've not seen it used anywhere else. Of course, I never have looked at the article on Survivor, so I'm aware I might be missing out on something. Any volunteers to set up a chart for Season 2's competition? — ArkansasTraveler 14:57, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Season 1

[edit] Season 2

I took a stab at setting up an elimination grid for Season 2. Each week it will have to be edited a bit to move the out designer to the appropriate row, but that's pretty easy. Crunch 14:31, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Added a Season 2 Challege section. For this I used the offiicial BravoTV Web site as reference for the Episode title names, names and descriptions. Crunch 14:49, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Season 3

Added a little blurb confirming the renewal of the program for Season 3. Vikramsidhu 21:13, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Daniel Franco's age

There has been confusion regarding Daniel Franco's age. The Bravo web site for Season 1 listed his age as 28. One year later, by Season 2, the Bravo site for Season 2 jumped him three years ahead to 31, but lists his birthdate as November 11, 1971. I am going with the theory that the Bravo biographers made a math error but have his birthdate correct. Therefore, Daniel was 32 at the time Season 1 was filmed and 33 when Season 2 was filmed. Crunch 16:50, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Blogging Project Runway

I've added a link to one of the best fan blogs out there, Blogging Project Runway. It's a great fan site resource of links and opinions. The woman who runs it has actually be corrosponding with many of this season's participants.DelDav 06:32, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Details of unaired episodes

Can we agree to keep details of upcoming episodes listed as To be announced until after the show airs? I know that some aspects can be gleamed by the previews, but these may be incomplete and will have to be written after the show airs. Also, it seems to work well to just keep this article as a record what's actually aired. 71.195.181.150 09:32, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes I'm a little upset that this page reveals who is going to lose next week's competition... I don't think this is a place for spoilers. (This unsigned post left by 9 February 2006 70.225.170.161)
I agree. I think the spoiler content only happened once but I'd like to keep the page to what has actually aired or is extremely widely publicized, i.e. the upcoming episode title. Crunch 15:41, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
That's ridiculous. If this was a TV guide you'd be right, but it's an encyclopedia. As long as it can be sourced, ALL available information should be included. 24.218.198.104 10:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
An encylopedia tends to document events that have already happenend. In addition, many of the sources regarding un-aired information has proved to be false. Crunch 13:33, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Subcategory Project Runway judges

There is a currently a Wikipedia categorgy "Project Runway" and a subcategory "Project Runway contestants." I tried making another subcategory, "Project Runway judges," but I didn't do it right. Does anybody know who to do this correctly? I think it would be a pretty interesting collection, including everyone from Michael Kors to Parker Posey to Sasha Cohen. Crunch 04:16, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey!

Why did the part about Chloe winning go up before the show has even aired? I was rooting for her, but now it's spoiled the surprise! Polyhymnia

Sorry. I posted it after the show aired in the Eastern Time Zone. The news was all over the Web at that time and there was a Spoiler Tag above. Crunch 12:11, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Don't apologize. If you put up a spoiler tag, it's Polyhymnia's own fault for reading. 24.218.198.104 10:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fan sites under External Links

Someone removed two of the Project Runway fan sites listed under External Links. Why? I have reverted the change. Crunch 17:40, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I restored the blog links that had been removed and mistakenly removed the fan site listings in doing so. Thanks for fixing that. DelDav 19:55, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I would guess that they were removed because Wikipeida is not a link repository. - Zepheus (ツィフィアス) 05:53, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Move official designers site links

We need to sort and move the designer sites to the individual season pages. Too lazy right now --vossman 03:51, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

I've just done the moves. :) celticshk Talk 05:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing website

Would anyone support me removing http://www.projectrunwayshow.com/ from the website list? It has not been updated at all since season 2 and the forms are so vandalized that they are almost unusable. --NRS11 23:44, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, for the reasons you state. Crunch 22:43, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Producer input

However, the show's ending credits state that the judges act partly on producer input.

The credits state the producers have final say, however, everyone involved with the show has said they've never intervened. So I'm removing this line. 70.167.19.131 20:18, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Picture

There should be a more useful (i.e. bigger) picture at the top of the page, the current one is so small, you can hardly see anything on it. There a several bigger versions of the first season DVD cover which is currently shown (http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000ATQYSS.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg) and its use would be unproblematic through promo picture fair use licensing. -- EnemyOfTheState 23:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Background on the show

Almost 100% of the content of htis article is about the dealings of the show (i.e., the competitions and their results). There is nothing on how the show was started (for example, how did the idea come about?), how popular it has become, or what kind of cultural impact it has had. The Runway page is in no way a "bad" article, but it's also certainly not a good article. -- Kicking222 14:52, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Controversy

I'm removing the "Controversy" section. This sounds like original research, which is prohibited by Wiki guidelines, and is speculation. Sorry. PantherFoxie 17:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Nevermind. Someone did it for me. ^_^;;; PantherFoxie 17:17, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
(Tried to put the following in at the same time that you did) I did, too, within 2 minutes of you. Ha. User Aioxa seems to be the one adding it back into the article - and not even the edited version of the blurb, either. -- Mel21clc 17:23, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Format of contestants in the running

With all due respect, I don't like the plain list. I preferred the table because it was more convenient because it showed who won what challenges, who was the highest, who was the lowest, and so on. Please put it back.

Oh I'm really idiotic. My browser flubbed up and I thought I was on the Season 3 page. I'm sorry.

However, I think you make a good point. Do we need this much detail on the main Project Runway article? Shouldn't this article present an overview and the Season 3 article give the type of detail like the names of contestants and who's currently in the running and who's been eliminated? I think so. Crunch 03:27, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia and Records?

I appreciate the effort put into creating the Trivia and Records sections, but I'm wondering if this is all really necessary or useful. For one thing, a lot of seems a bit ridiculous, for lack, of a better word. For example -- oldest and youngest winner? There have only been two winners! One will be the oldest and the other the youngest. There just are not enough data to make a lot of this information useful. Secondly, it is part of Wikipedia Style to avoid such Trivia sections and integrate the information into the article whenever possible, move it into a separate article or discard it if it's not encylopedic or can't be verified. Crunch 02:48, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Someone else removed the record section earlier this week, without discussing it here. Since there has been no talk about removing the Trvia section, I am removing it. It seems pointless, again, for the reasons discussed above. Crunch 10:54, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is the timeframe?

There is much argument among my coworkers as to the timeframe of the show. Some think it is filmed in a few weeks with the challenges running back to back, while others think the challenges are filmed over several months (as evidenced by Laura's growing belly in Season 3). Does anyone know?

I believe that each season is filmed over a period of about a month. Season 3 was filmed from more or less May 20 through June 20, 2006. Then the four finalists came back for Olympus Fashion Week from September 8-15, 2006. I'm only guessing on Laura's pregnancy -- maybe she decided to show if off more after a certain point by, for example, wearing shirts tucked up over her belly that pretty much say, "Hey, look I'm pregnant!" Nothing wrong with that, but in other clothing she does not look as pregnant. Crunch 02:44, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Music

Hey. I added the music section and link. I'm new to this, so I hope it's to everyone's liking.

[edit] one missing infomation on the chat of season 1 challenges

Did anyone notice that there's a one week missing in Vanessa's part of the chart of season 1 challenges? Because of that, her part on the chat seems wrong. Does anybody have the information about the missing-week of her challenge?

[edit] TESemme link

I moved the link to the TRESemme.com home page from here to the Season 3 Project Runway article page and changed it specifically to Scenes from the Project Runway Season 3 Finale rather than the TRESemme home page. Crunch 11:29, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tim Gunn and season four

Can anyone include a link to the People article stating that Tim might not return to the show for the next season? I can't imagine that they would ever do the show without Tim; not just is he easily the most popular person on the program, but I can't imagine that his role would take away that much time from his work at Parsons (hell, it's even filmed at the school). So long as they don't do another trip (e.g. Paris during season three), I don't know why he wouldn't be on the show. The People factoid should be cited in the article (in fact, the article as a whole needs citations), and I would personally like to see it. -- Kicking222 23:10, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Nevermind. I found it myself, and I'll add it to the article. -- Kicking222 23:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Season 4 in Quarter 4

Where did this information come from? I don't see anything about it in the reference provided. Tinkleheimer 23:42, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] cable

What about the Project Runway that is the proposed optical fibre link from Sydney to Gaum, it is of big interest to Australians 58.104.24.98 15:32, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] advertisement

Hi,

to me it seems that this article mentions Elle and Saturn and Tresemme too often. Surely, that's a good representation of the show ;-). But I'd like it more if there were a "sponsors"-section listing Elle and Saturn, so the introduction could tone down the advertisement as far as possible. -- JanCK (talk) 12:57, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NHL April Fools Day Joke

I'm a little surprised that there's nothing about *this blog post, which sparked a lot of talk around the hockey world. Basically, it's an NHL/PR AFJ. 24.87.56.142 (talk) 21:05, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] All-Star Season

This was actually a hoax. I first saw it on Blogging Project Runway and emailed them about it. Nick Verreos and Tim Gunn said they had no idea about the supposed All-Star Season. Here is an article where Tim Gunn explains it. [1]<3 Tinkleheimer TALK!! 05:48, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
