Talk:Programming languages
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This needs to be cleaned up and organized. I recommend several variants of the list on seperate pages:
- Programming languages (alphabetical) - a bulleted alphabetical listing of languages but NOT dialects.
- Format:
- Programming languages (cronological)(SP?) - a bulleted cronological list by introduction date. Again: No dialects.
- Format:
- 01/01/1940, Language Name
- Programming languages (relational) - a bulleted list showing family trees in the same format as for the alphabetical listing. Again: No dialects.
For each language article, insert a 'dialects' section listing dialects. Major dialects that have significance to the development of the language, innovation or popularity should have thier own pages (maybe a / page?). Other dialects should be listed but have thier paragraph or so embedded in the list.
I'm going to start working on this immediately.
