Talk:Process Oriented Coma Work
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is an amazing article, entirely relevant to anyone who has a loved one in a coma. I'm not sure how to categorize it, but might put it somewhere between philosophy and medicine. Even if the person has a Living Will, this "process-work" is important. My Dad had a major stroke a few weeks ago. Just yesterday his docs and family decided to put him on "comfort care" which includes agreeing to remove his feeding tube. Tonight he looked at me directly in the eye, grabbed my hand, pulled it to his lips, and kissed it with an audible "smack." He then smiled brilliantly while maintaining eye contact with me. I've never cried harder in my life. Knowmoore (talk)
