"Prowler" is the first track from the eponymous debut album of British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Believed to be one of the first songs written by Steve Harris. The song appeared on the original Maiden demo The Soundhouse Tapes but had been a part of the band's song list far longer.

The song was played at almost every concert during the band's early years up until the World Piece Tour 83' where it was played only a few times. The song has since fallen out of regular use, though it is still considered to be one of their famous songs. During the release of The Early Days DVD the band performed "Prowler" during every performance of the Early Days Tour. On the DVD collection the song is featured on the Ruskin Arms video and is played briefly when Steve Harris mentions it on the Early Days documentary.

"Prowler" was re-recorded in 1988 (along with Charlotte the Harlot) and was aptly titled 'Prowler 88' for the B-side of The Evil That Men Do single with singer Bruce Dickinson on vocals.
