Providencia is a district of the province of Luya. Providence is located in a warm zone in a part that lowers from the heights up to the river cashew. Providence offers several attractive places for tourists like beautiful cataracts and several ruins of the culture chachapoya. To come to Providence it is travelled or in horse from the District of Ocalli, where it finishes the highway.
The management holidays of the cardinal Providence it is celebrated on July 16. As typical meals there is known the Purtumote, the Nickname, the Locro, the cuy with Bean, the Stew and the Yucca, between others. The District of Providence belongs to the parish of the District of Ocalli.
