Providence Hospital

Providence Hospital is a 247 bed acute-care facility located east of downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The hospital was founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine as a ministry to the Catholic community, in both body in spirit. Today, Providence Hospital, along with Providence Heart Institute, is leader in Cardiovascular care in South Carolina. It is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Augustine of Richfield, Ohio.
