Prospect Avenue is an elevated station on the IRT White Plains Road Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Prospect and Westchester Avenues in the Bronx, it is served by the 2 train (all times), and by the 5 train (all times except late nights and rush hours in the peak direction).
There is a windscreen covering the full length of the station and a center canopy over the fare control area on each platform. The station has doors to the platform and street and has heaters, which appear to be steam powered. The northbound station house has the rear of the old booth gated off and the front painted over.
