If this "term" is truly becoming a word (which I doubt, because I never heard it before now), then it should be defined at Wiktionary. If, as I suspect, it is not, then this article is quite likely a simple advertisement for the website Prolebrity.com. User:Seanbesser has been adding links to athletes' blogs on this site and I suspect spam.

Prolebrity is a new word that is a is a mix of the word pro and celebrity and is used to describe the celebrity status that many professional athletes have obtained.^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ^[4]

There is also a new website called Prolebrity.com that is dedicated towards following Prolebrities.^[5] It was founded by 10 year NFL veteran Marcellus Wiley and includes lots of other high profile athletes, including Elton Brand, Randy Couture, Willie McGinest, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Antonio Pierce, Tony Gonzalez, and Heather Mitts
