Prolebrity is a new word that is a is a mix of the word pro and celebrity and is used to describe the celebrity status that many professional athletes have obtained.[1] [2] [3] [4]

There is also a new website called Prolebrity.com that is dedicated towards following Prolebrities.[5] It was founded by 10 year NFL veteran Marcellus Wiley and includes lots of other high profile athletes, including Elton Brand, Randy Couture, Willie McGinest, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Antonio Pierce, Tony Gonzalez, and Heather Mitts

The video sharing site Veoh also has a Prolebrity channel.[6]
