Professor Palmboom (literally Professor Palm Tree) is a comic book series written by the Dutch writer Dick Briel. They are drawn in the Ligne claire style. So far, three comics have been released and one book. They follow the adventures of Professor Julius Palmboom.

The series is set in the 19th century and follows the adventures of Professor Julius Palmboom and his friends as they investigate science fiction mysteries.

- The comics:
- The Tacho Plant Mystery - (1981) A series of deaths can be linked to the mysterious Tacho Plant. It was coloured by hand.
- The Rustygranade - (1982) Also contained several short stories at the back, including Het Leger van Phillpotts . It was coloured by hand.
- London Labyrinth - (1999) This book ended on a 'to be continued...'. It was colored by computer.
- Ratcliffe Highway - (Not yet finished)
- Sketches from Victorian Times - (1982) A pocket book of images from the world of Palmboom.
- Album Zero - (2000) Contains four short stories: The Unfinished Aria, The Detective Writer, The Clock and The Hypnotist.
- Het Leger van Philpotts - A book containing the short story found in 'The Rustygranade'.

While all the books are available in Dutch, the main three comics have also received translations into French, but not into English. Briel has agreed for 'London Labyrinth' to be translated into English, so maybe the book will be released in English.[citation needed]
