Professional Football Researchers Association

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA) was founded on June 22, 1979 in Canton, Ohio by sports historian and writer Bob Carroll and six other football researchers. Its website describes it this way: "The PFRA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and, in some cases, reconstructing professional football history." PFRA specializes in early NFL history because very little of it is widely known.

PFRA publishes books, pamphlets and a bimonthly magazine, The Coffin Corner, devoted to topics in professional football history.
