Probus, Cornwall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Probus is a civil parish and village in the Carrick district of Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. It is famous for having the tallest church tower in Cornwall.[1] The tower is 129 feet (39 m) high, and richly decorated with carvings.[2] The place name originates from the church's dedication to Saint Probus.[3]
Probus lies very close to Cornish Main Line but because of its nature, Probus was satisfied with its bus service and did not want a railway station.
[edit] Sports and recreation
Probus has a King George's Field, a memorial to King George V.
