The Proboscis Bat, Rhynchonycteris naso, is a bat species from South and Central America [2]. Other common names include Sharp-nosed Bat[3].
The countries where it is found include Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, French Guiana, Guyana, Surinam, Trinidad[4] and Costa Rica[5].
This small species of bat was found to occasionally fall prey to the rather large spider Argiope savignyi[5].
