Probištip (Macedonian: Пробиштип) is a municipality in eastern Republic of Macedonia. Probištip is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found. This municipality is part of Eastern statistical region.

The municipality borders Kratovo municipality in the north, Kočani and Češinovo-Obleševo in the east, Sveti Nikole in the west, Štip and Karbinci in the south.
The Municipality spreads over the middle and lower part of the line of Zletovska River.

By the 2003 territorial division of Macedonia, the rural Zletovo municipality was attached to Probištip municipality. The present municipality has 16,193 inhabitants. The municipality of Probištip had 12,963 inhabitants in 1994 and 12,765 at the census of 2002. ^ Zletovo municipality had 3,687 inhabitants in 1994 and 3,428 in 2002.
